Begin the tour at the Boston Common Visitor Center, then walk toward the Massachusetts State House, one of Boston’s most important civic landmarks, located at the top of Beacon Hill.From there, continue through Beacon Hill, one of the city’s most beautiful historic neighborhoods, known for its cobblestone streets, brick homes, gas lamps, and classic Boston character. The itinerary then follows Charles Street, a charming local street filled with small shops, cafés, and neighborhood life. Along the way, visitors will pass Cheers Beacon Hill, the famous bar that inspired the classic television series.
The tour continues into the Boston Public Garden, one of the city’s most elegant green spaces, before walking along the Commonwealth Avenue Mall, a tree-lined boulevard surrounded by historic brownstones, statues, and Back Bay architecture.
